Appointed is a DC-based, American-made brand selling elevated office products aimed to upgrade your desktop. After finding high-quality paper products seemed nearly impossible, Founder and CEO Suann Song decided she would create the perfect notebook (minimalist, chic, sustainable) for herself, thus starting Appointed.
The brand came to us with one main issue: they liked their original eCommerce site, but they felt stuck. As the brand was scaling and growing, their site needed to reflect that. That’s where our team of designers and developers came in to create a site with improved user experience, an easier way to increase average order value, and a simpler process for the brand to create their own landing pages.

After completing an in-depth eCommerce discovery with the Appointed team, Avex got to work. We were able to give the site’s design an upgrade without stripping away the brand’s identity on both desktop and mobile. Our developers created a page builder template that allows the team at Appointed to create landing pages with several variations, and integrated the Customily app to provide monogram and logo functionality for the sleek stationary products.
Our team consolidated products via color, size, and monogram offerings, and lastly, removed any unnecessary apps after the site launched in order to clean up the back-end and improve the site’s load times. As Appointed continues to grow, their eCommerce site can now grow with it.
Our design team was able to create a site that took the brand’s values and identity into account, which ended up being exactly what the client was looking for.
A Scalable Site
Combining our team’s work on the site’s design, the brand’s email marketing, and the back-end, Appointed was able to see considerable increases in average order value, retention and conversions, after only two months post launch.
Migration to Klaviyo
We facilitated the migration from Appointed’s old email service provider to Klaviyo in order to revamp the brand’s email marketing. Klaviyo allowed the brand to create flows based on the new site design and on their marketing strategy.
Including the option to monogram products is a great way to allow a level of personalization for the Appointed’s customers. With 40% of customers adding a monogram to their order for a $10 upsell, the brand will see an increase in revenue in no time.
